No particular news on my car... i putted in an adesive sound insulator replacing all the old rubber behind the seats and other areas. Is not the dynamat but something similar, an italian product called Mappysil. The sound is now a lot more confortable to go around :)

The news is that the Italian Delorean Club is now a real fact :) I, together with Giacomo and another friend, Lorenzo, founded the club this days. We putted on a very nice homepage, on www.dmc12.it , with our same forum.

We already did some meetings and we will do it in short time :)
I plan to come in september to moutain classic too!

Here some photos of my workshop :) lol...I'm rebuilding a customer' car

Today I did the first meters on the road with this behind the wheels:

I still have to work out some details. I had to use an hose for connecting the calipers to the stock hose ( I secured it to do not touch anything), cause the original metal hose on our calip. doesnt work with this caliper, it leaks. It should work with a little adapter like this:
Image
female/male 10x1mm with concave female.
but i had to order them :D and the hose i put was for free...

The system still have to settle down ( new discs, new pads...) but for now it seems all ok... the brake power seems not drastically more but surely is. I will let you informed during the testing of the system

Ok... I did a serious test of the brake setup with the new calipers and discs
I drove in the mountains around my home. This is also a road used for the italian 1000 miglia wrc rallies.
I do not pretend do be a good pilot so do not complain
I also had some trouble with the 2nd gear not entering or coming out...Some times i had it grinding and a lot of times it did not enter and rev high
I put on it a bit of stress
It is about 30' of driving...but I think is nice to see

The brakes was always ok. Never got them to heat and fade in all the run...and i TRIED to do that I locked the wheel every now and then so you can see and hear that they are always braking good.

The only complain is that... I DO NOT suggest the same calipers i put in. They are the ULTRALITE 4 from HISPEC, 4 pistons. They works ok BUT:
they are for track, and do not have the DUST SEAL around the pistons. (yeah Raph  )
their oil capacity, calculating the pistons diameter is a bit LESS than the original, so I have a little different response on the pedal. Maybe is not a problem, cause i upgraded just the front for now...
But I suggest the BILLET 4.
They have the dust seal and their oil capacity is the same or little more of the original M16 calipers we have, and that is better.
However my scope was to have the vented discs in, not so much more power...so im happy for now
Tell me what you think of the videos ^^

Really great video, we could think the D is a 4 seater
Seems to have a lot of fun when driving around the mountain, fortunately a few guys were kind enough to park out of the road to let you a clean road.
