When you drive straight the volant is straight ?
If you did a convercence now, and you have the volant not centered but goes straigt, the only solution, if everything is ok, is to:
take off the center cover on the volant, take out the 24mm nut under it and with an extractor, or just pulling if you are lucky, take off the volant.
Then put the volant exaclty centered with the steering box, so it finish exaclty the same on both side.
Just at this point you have to make the straight convercence again BUT I saw a lot of times ( quite everytime!) that the threads on the steering arm are not enought to make it right...
It is not true that the threads should be the same on both side, it just depend on the setting.
If you are lucky and everything is ok, you can make the straight with the volant now centered,
but if you will find that with the volant exaclty centered you do not have enought threads on a side of the steering arms, you have to take off again the volant from the car and turn it back some degree and try until you find where you have enough threads and make compromise with the centering of the volant... or, thinking more bad, if you are brave enought you have to cut a bit the Tie-rod on that side, but this case is just if you have a bend somewhere in the car...
I saw too many times now problem during making the straight on the deloreans... hope the french wheeler are better than the italians
